Jang Theo of 'Single's Inferno' to star in upcoming Philippine-Korean film 'Finding Santos'

Jang Theo, known for appearing on Netflix's reality dating show "Single's Inferno" Season 4, is set to star in the upcoming Philippine-Korean-produced film, "Finding Santos."

In an interview with GMA News Online, Theo said that he is working with Filipino actors for the upcoming film, which is about the Filipino soldiers who helped in the Korean War.

“If you can collaborate with a lot of different cultures as an actor, you can be inspired a lot as an actor and a human being… I think it’s gonna be deeply meaningful both as an actor and as a lesson [about the relationship] between the Korean and Philippine government. This is my upcoming project, I’m looking forward to it,” he said.

He also shared that a fanmeet for his Filipino fans is in the works within the next coming months.

Theo couldn’t get enough of Filipinos' hospitality during his second visit to the Philippines in mid-February.

According to the actor, the Philippines has a special place in his heart because Filipinos are always welcoming to him.

“They always welcome me super warmly. Every time I visit here, I feel very touched because they don’t know me, but they always smile and greet me well. They always say hello and smile,” he said.

“There are so many servers and fans and customers that recognized me [when I left], and said hello, and took a picture with me. It was very surreal."

He added that he thoroughly enjoyed filming content on experiencing Filipino food, and that he enjoyed sinigang and Jollibee.

“The rice, the chicken, and the different [sauces]. It really hit the spot," he said of the fast food chain's chicken. "And sinigang is very shocking for me, because the taste is so similar to traditional Korean kimchi stew."

In the future, Theo plans to visit Cebu, Boracay, and Bohol.

Theo graced Friday's episode of "TiktoClock" where he bonded and played games with hosts Kuya Kim, Pokwang, Faith Da Silva, and Jayson Gainza.
