Jay Ortega gets love interest in GMA Network's Viu Original series 'Slay'

Jay Ortega said he is going to have a love interest from the four female stars of "Slay," GMA Network's first Viu Original series.

During the media conference of the murder-mystery series, the Sparkle star shared a few details about his character, whom he didn't name.

According to Jay, he will get entangled with the main characters and might just have something to do with the death of Zach (Derrick Monasterio).

"Isa siyang simple guy living a simple life. But, ma-iinvolve ako sa kanila because of kababata ako ng isa sa kanila," he said. "At malay n'yo baka ako ang pumatay kay Zach."

"Slay" follows the story of four women who get tagged as the suspects of Zach's murder.

Aside from Jay and Derrick, "Slay" stars Julie Anne San Jose (Liv), Ysabel Ortega (Yana), Gabbi Garcia (Amelie), Mikee Quintos (Sugar), and Royce Cabrera (Juro).

Jay made his television debut in "Pulang Araw" as the fierce Japanese soldier Akio Watanabe. Following the success of his role, Jay signed a contract with Sparkle in December.

He also took on the role of a gay security guard who went viral with a dancing video on social media in a January episode of "Magpakailanman."

Jay was also hinted to be part of the "Sang'gre" cast.
