Jay Ortega joins cast of GMA Network's Viu Original 'Slay'

Jay Ortega will star in another series soon!

According to Aubrey Carampel's report on "24 Oras," Monday, the Sparkle actor has joined the cast of GMA Network's first Viu Original, "Slay."

The series is top-billed by Julie Anne San Jose, Ysabel Ortega, Mikee Quintos, Derrick Monasterio, and Gabbi Garcia.

"Very different din 'yung character at saka 'yung co-actors ko siyempre iba na din. Nae-enjoy ko din katrabaho sila dahil marami ako natutunan along the way," Jay said.

Jay is the breakout star of "Pulang Araw," where he played the Japanese Imperial Army Captain Akio Watanabe. He signed a contract with Sparkle before the series ended last December.

In January, he appeared in an episode of "Magpakailanman," where he played the viral gay guard Gerald Concan.
