Kris Aquino diagnosed with new autoimmune disease, not yet 'fit to work'

Kris Aquino updated fans about her health in her latest Instagram post.
The Queen of All Media shared a photo of her in bed, with visitors Kim Chiu, Miles Ocampo, Darla, and doctors Rainier Tanalgo and Hazel David.
In her caption, she clarified that she is "not yet 'fit to work' because I’m very underweight, 37 kilos/82 pounds."
Moreover, she has been diagnosed with her seventh autoimmune disease, Fibromyalgia.
According to Mayo Clinic, “Fibromyalgia is a disorder characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain accompanied by fatigue, sleep, memory and mood issues.”
“I have been exhibiting confirmatory symptoms for 8. Polymyositis as well as 9. Mixed Connective Tissue Disease,” Kris said.
“Having complicated autoimmune diseases and being allergic to all NSAIDS, steroids, pain relievers, as well as antibiotics and Immunoglobulin Therapy many times the physical pain is overwhelming,” she added.
Kris previously revealed her six autoimmune diseases: Autoimmune Thyroiditis, Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria, EGPA or a rare, life-threatening form of Vasculitis, Systemic Sclerosis, Lupus, and Rheumatoid Arthritis.
And for those interested in Kris' love life, she said she has been single “for some time now.”
“[No] boyfriend so clearly no fiancé,” she said. “I never gave details while we were a couple so it makes no sense to elaborate now.”
In 2024, she said she was in a relationship with a Makati City-based doctor.
At the end of her post, Kris said, “Thank you for your love and concern.” She added the hashtags, #HindiSusuko and #TuloyAngLABAN.
Kris returned to the Philippines in 2024 after living in the US for two years for treatments. She went back home to start her second immunosuppressant infusion.
For her 54th birthday this February, Kris celebrated with her sons Josh and Bimby.
