Ruru Madrid proud of Bianca Umali for new film 'Mananambal': 'Ikaw ang totoong idolo ko'
Ruru Madrid expressed his love and support for Bianca Umali’s new film “Mananambal,” which premiered in cinemas this week.
On Instagram, the Kapuso Primetime Action Hero shared moments from the premiere night, which included Bianca’s speech, and snaps with Lola Vicky.
“I’m so proud of you, My Love!” Ruru said and tagged his girlfriend.
The actor added that Bianca is his inspiration and his idol.
“Alam ko kung gaano mo pinaghirapan ang pelikulang ito—nasaksihan ko ang dedication, pagod, at passion na ibinuhos mo sa bawat eksena,” he said.
“Ngayon, kitang-kita ng lahat ang husay mo, pero ako, alam kong noon pa man, ikaw na ang pinakamagaling. Ikaw ang totoong idolo ko, Mahal,” he added, and encouraged his followers to watch the film in cinemas.
Bianca told Ruru in the comments section, “Maraming salamat, Mahal ko. Ikaw ang lakas ko.”
“Mananambal” is a horror film directed by Adolfo Alix Jr. and produced by B.C. Entertainment Production.
Set in Siquijor, the film tells the story of a Filipino practitioner of traditional medicine who can also perform sorcery. Starring alongside Bianca is National Artist Nora Aunor, with Kelvin Miranda, EA Guzman, Jeric Gonzales, and Martin Escudero also part of the cast.
“Mananambal” was screened at the Jinseo Arigato International Film Festival in Japan in 2024, where Bianca won the Best Dramatic Actress award.
