Benjamin Alves shares a peek at himself as Manuel L. Quezon
Benjamin Alves just shared a peek at himself dressed up as Manuel L. Quezon!
On Instagram, the Sparkle star posted a black and white photo and video of his look as the former Philippine president in the upcoming "Quezon" biopic.
He also included artworks and photos of his portrayal of a younger Quezon in "Heneral Luna" and "Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral," the first two films of Jerrold Tarog's Bayaniverse trilogy.
"10 Years of Manuel," he wrote in the caption.
Aside from Benjamin, Jericho Rosales will also play the title role in "Quezon."
Other cast members include Karylle as former first lady Aurora Quezon, Mon Confiado as Emilio Aguinaldo, Romnick Sarmenta as Sergio Osmeña, the first Vice President of the Philippines, JC Santos as Manuel Roxas, and Cris Villanueva as the older Joven Hernando, the only fictional character in the film series.
"Quezon" begins production in March and targets a theatrical release this year.
