Jennylyn Mercado, Dennis Trillo, co-stars go target shooting to prepare for upcoming action-drama series
Jennylyn Mercado, Dennis Trillo, and their co-stars went target shooting in preparation for their upcoming action-drama series on GMA Network.
In Lhar Santiago's report on "24 Oras" Friday, the Kapuso Ultimate Star shared that she was nervous during the target shooting activity.
"Kanina ni-nenerbyos pa 'ko, pero unti-unti. Kahit New Year nagtatago talaga ako, di ko kaya 'yung mga fireworks, blastings, putok kaya medyo ni-nenerbyos talaga ako," she said.
Dennis, however, shared that they are getting comfortable with handling guns bit by bit.
"Ngayon unti-unti mas nagiging komportable kami, naturuan kami kung papaano mag-handle 'yung mga safety na kailangan mo tandan, pagka gagamit ka ng mga ganung klase na weapons. Once na natutunan mo naman at nalaman mo na 'yung mga importante, nababawasan na 'yung mga kaba mo," he said.
Jennylyn added that she is excited for the series because this is the first time she and Dennis will do such a genre.
Dennis also quipped that they have no choice but to be fit because of their roles.
"Dito sa show na 'to mapipiltan kami maging fit talaga, kasi kalangan namin mag-workout, kailangan ready kami dun sa mga fight scenes, sa mga stunts na gagawin," he said.
The DenJen couple was joined by their co-stars for the training, namely Allen Dizon, Joross Gamboa, John Vic De Guzman, Kiel Rodriguez, Seb Pajarillo, and James Lucero.
According to Joross, their characters will play police offers.
"Dahil ang mga character namin dito mga pulis kami so kailangan as much as possible talagang believable 'to sa mga viewers natin," he said.
John Vic also said they trained more on tactical movements.
"Tactical movements na kung anong ginagawa nung pulis sa mismong engkwentro, so iba po kasi 'yung sports shooting sa practical."
Aside from the series, Jennylyn and Dennis also have an upcoming movie, "Everything About My Wife," which is coming to cinemas on February 26.
