Heart Evangelista is the picture of elegance in 40th birthday photos: 'The journey has shown me what truly matters'

Heart Evangelista marked her 40th birthday with gorgeous new photos.
On Instagram, the Global Fashion Icon and actress shared her BJ Pascual-led photoshoot where she donned a beaded tan Dior dress with a high slit and simple elegant jewelry. She posed with a brown background, sported bright red hair, and went barefoot for the shoot.
“#Becoming40 is just 20, but with better decisions and an earlier bedtime,” Heart captioed, with the hashtag #CHAPTER40.
In an Instagram Reel, Heart showed the process of creating the Dior dress and wearing it at a birthday party.
“No looking back—unless it’s for a video,” Heart said.
In an earlier post, the Kapuso celebrity reflected on turning 40.
"I’ve learned that growth isn’t always easy, but it’s always worth it," she began.
Saying she's learned to love every part of herself including her fears and her flaws, Heart said she's learned things "the hard way" but she's also learned to forgive herself.
"The journey has showed me what truly matters — love, peace, and being true to myself," she said.
"I’m stepping into this next chapter with so much gratitude, knowing every step has brought me exactly here, to this moment," she ended her thoughtful post.
Heart’s birthday celebration started with a surprise birthday party from her team.
Her husband, Senate President Chiz Escudero, sister Cam Ongpauco, fashion designer Michael Leyva, doctors Aivee and Z Teo, and her core team were present during the party.
Heart recently flew to Paris for fashion week.
The birthday girl is also the February cover star of L’Officiel Philippines.
