Bianca Umali on alleged ‘Mananambal’ billing issue: ‘I was shocked, it became an emotional moment for me’

Bianca Umali said that she was shocked when asked about an alleged billing issue during the press conference of her movie with Nora Aunor, “Mananambal.”

The Sparkle star shared this in her GMA Integrated News interview with Nelson Canlas, which aired on "24 Oras" Thursday.

“I was shocked. It became an emotional moment for me at some point. But then, in my heart and in my mind, I knew that the best way to handle it was to be the most professional person in the room,” Bianca said.

According to the actress, working with the Superstar and National Artist is already an honor and was all that she needed.

“Everything else that comes from it, the billing, even the award that I won, is already a bonus na lang,” Bianca said.

In 2024, Bianca won the Best Dramatic Actress award at the Jinseo International Film Festival in Japan for her role in "Mananambal."

“Mananambal” unveiled its official poster in January, where Bianca, Nora, and their co-stars’ names were placed.

The horror film is coming to Philippine cinemas on February 19.

It is directed by Adolfo Alix Jr. and produced by B.C. Entertainment Production.
