GMA artists, executives grace ribbon-cutting and blessing of new Kapuso Photo Wall

Top artists and executives of GMA Network Inc. attended the ribbon-cutting and blessing of the new Kapuso Photo Wall.

Located inside the GMA Network Inc. headquarters in Quezon City, the wall boasts of portraits of the network’s top talents and wall personalities.

“This wall is a symbol of pride and gratitude as we commemorate our 75th anniversary,” GMA Vice President and Head for Corporate Affairs and Communications Angel Javier-Cruz said at the opening event on Friday.

She said that the Kapuso Photo Wall is a gift to the artists and celebrities, “because you are the ones who are outside and who are on TV, and represent the network and what it stands for.”

Javier-Cruz added, “It is also a gift of the network to our Kapuso community and the advocacy and the legacy that we are all working together, that we are living and we are building together—that is to be forever one with the Philippines.”

According to Javier-Cruz, the project was envisioned by the top management, with various departments including Corporate Affairs and Communications, Production Support, Engineering, Admin, GMA Entertainment, Sparkle GMA Artist Center, Integrated News, and Public Affairs collaborating to bring the photo wall to life. 

Present at the event were members of the GMA Network Board of Directors: President and Chief Executive Officer Gilberto R. Duavit Jr.; Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Felipe S. Yalong; Chairman of GMA Network’s Executive Committee Joel Marcelo G. Jimenez; Directors Judith R. Duavit-Vasquez and Laura J. Westfall; and Independent Directors Chief Justice Artemio V. Panganiban and Jaime C. Laya.

Top managers were also present: Senior Vice President for Entertainment Group Lilybeth G. Rasonable; GMA Integrated News, Regional TV and Synergy Senior Vice President and Head Oliver Victor B. Amoroso; Administration and Investor Relations First Vice President Ayahl Ari Augusto P. Chio; Vice President for Drama Productions for Entertainment Group Cheryl L. Ching-Sy; Vice President for Musical Variety, Specials, and Alternative Productions for Entertainment Group Gigi Santiago-Lara; GMA Integrated News Vice President and Deputy Head for News Programs and Specials Michelle Seva; GMA Public Affairs Vice President Arlene Carnay; Program Support Department Vice President Rafael “Butch” San Agustin Jr.; GMA Integrated News Consultant Grace Dela Pena-Reyes; Supply and Asset Management  Consultant Vicky Arradaza; and Sparkle Assistant Vice President for Talent Sales, Branding, and Marketing Anne Puno-Ignacio.

Kapuso legends, news reporters, and stars whose photos are posted on the wall, also graced the event, including Mel Tiangco, Howie Severino, Atom Araullo, Susan Enriquez, Pia Arcangel, Connie Sison, Suzi Entrata-Abrera, Raffy Tima, Mariz Umali, and Doc Ferds Brecio.

The late Mike Enriquez was honored with a portrait, and prayed over during the photo wall’s blessing.

Stars Julie Anne San Jose, Rayver Cruz, Rochelle Pangilinan, Derrick Monasterio, Ysabel Ortega, Sofia Pablo, Kyline Alcantara, Rita Daniela, Manilyn Reynes, Isko Moreno were able to see their portraits in person.
