Mon Confiado reprises role as Emilio Aguinaldo in 'Quezon' film

Mon Confiado is returning as Emilio Aguinaldo in the upcoming "Quezon" biopic of Jerrold Tarog!

On Instagram, the actor shared a photo of the script while at the all-star cast table reading of the movie.

"Project Q All Star Cast Table Reading. Filming soon," Mon wrote.

Mon previously played the role of the first Philippine President in the first two films of Tarog's Bayaniverse Trilogy: "Heneral Luna" (2015) and "Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral" (2018).

"Quezon," the third film of the trilogy, will begin its production in March with a target theatrical release later this year.

The story will follow the life of Quezon, a lawyer and a soldier who became the President of the Commonwealth of the Philippines from 1935 to 1944, highlighting his tumultuous presidential campaign against Aguinaldo.

Benjamin Alves previously played the role of Quezon in the first two films of the trilogy as the younger version of the former president.

Meanwhile, TJ Trinidad played the adult Quezon in "Goyo."

"Heneral Luna" starred John Arcilla as Antonio Luna, while "Goyo" starred Paulo Avelino as Gregorio Del Pilar.
