Are Marvin Agustin and Jolina Magdangal each other's TOTGA? Actors answer

Marvin Agustin and Jolina Magdangal, one of the iconic love teams of the '90s, made their fans kilig when they sat down for an interview on Thursday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda."

One of their cute moments was when they were asked if they considered each other as "the one that got away" or TOTGA.

While Marvin had a hard time answering the question, Jolina was quick to answer "no" referring to the term "the one" as a special friend.

"Puwede bang ilagay natin doon sa 'the one' ibig sabihin iyong kaibigan na very special? I think hindi, kasi hindi naman siya nawala. Nandiyan pa rin siya para sa akin kapag kailangan ko ng kasama," the actress answered.

Echoing Jolina's answer, Marvin related their situation to their upcoming movie "Ex Ex Lovers."

"Parang isa don sa mensahe sa pelikula is one of the best relationships is friendship. Hinding-hindi mawawala at maninimbang lagi 'yung pagkakaibigan niyo sa isa't-isa," he said.

The pair was also asked if they had cried because of each other, to which Jolina said: "yes."

"We just recently cried over a scene na pakiramdam namin sinasabi namin 'yon kay Marvin and Jolina, hindi lang kay Joy at Ced," Marvin said.

"Kasi 'yung eksena na 'yon talagang ang saya sana pero nag-end up siya na umiiyak pero sobrang saya ng puso," Jolina added.

Marvin and Jolina also expressed their deepest gratitude to each other.

For Jolina, she thanked the actor for seeing a different side of her.

"Thank you dahil may mga nakikita ka na ini-expect ko na makikita sana ng ibang tao, pero ikaw ang nakakita 'non. And sobrang important sa akin 'non," she said.

Meanwhile, Marvin thanked Jolina for "dahil ang sarap mo magmahal at ang sarap mo rin mahalin."

MarJo's comeback movie "Ex Ex Lovers" follows the story of their lives as an ex-couple who are trying to be good parents to their daughter while reflecting on what went wrong in their relationship.

Aside from Marvin and Jolina, "Ex Ex Lovers" also stars Loisa Andalio, Juan Karlos, Judy Ann Santos, Mylene Dizon, and many more. It will have its theatrical debut on February 12.

Jolina and Marvin's reunion project was first teased in June when they posed for a photo with award-winning filmmakers Antoinette Jadaone and Dan Villegas, the founders of Project 8 Projects.

The Marvin-Jolina tandem was one of the Philippines' most popular love teams in the '90s. Among their most famous films include "Hey Babe!" and "Labs Kita... Okey Ka Lang?"
