‘Widows’ War’ uncovers more revelations in deadly finale

Spoiler warning for those who have not yet watched the episode!

Just when we thought we had seen it all—from the mastermind behind the Palacios killings to the accomplices who helped make it happen—more revelations were unveiled during the last episode of “Widows’ War.”

Unfortunately, Aurora (Jean Garcia) and Galvan (Tonton Gutierrez) were declared dead just one minute apart from each other after being poisoned during their family dinner, while Sam (Bea Alonzo) and George (Carla Abellana) were successfully rescued and were told about Jericho (Royce Cabrera)’s doings.

The two’s near-death experience solidified their resolve to honor the bond they shared and make a change for the new generation of Palacios.

In an emotional moment by the cliff, Sam and George vowed to break the cycle of mistakes and horrifying experiences that had haunted their lives, but shortly after George left, Sam was pushed to her death.

It was eventually revealed that Rebecca (Rita Daniela) was the culprit behind Sam’s death. Wearing a mask that had Paco’s (Rafael Rosell) face on it, Rebecca pushed Sam using an umbrella, the same item that was used to push Paco before his death.

“Simula nang dumating ka sa buhay ng mga Palacios, sinira mo ang dating tahimik naming mundo,” Rebecca said. “Matatapos lang talaga ang patayan na ‘to if you die yourself, Sam.”

It was also unveiled in the episode that Jericho’s father, Rodolfo (Victor Silayan), was actually still alive and had transitioned into a woman, Soledad.

Soledad secretly visited Jericho in prison, feeling pity for her son. She thought that she had to leave the Palacios, or else she would also lose her mind like her son.

The finale episode also became a trending topic on X (formerly Twitter), with some saying that they did not expect Rodolfo’s transformation to Soledad and others saying that Rebecca was truly just like the rest of the Palacios.
