'Widows' War' reveals mastermind, people involved in Palacios killings

Spoiler warning for those who have not yet watched the episode!

"Widows' War" has revealed the mastermind behind the deaths in the Palacios household and the people who carried out some of the killings.

On Wednesday's episode, all the Palacios by blood and by marriage—and also their servants—were poisoned after doing a toast during their family dinner.

Everyone collapsed on the floor, but Cairo (Kiel Rodriguez) and Rico (Rikki Mae Davao) eventually got up and outed themselves as responsible for what happened.

They said they took revenge against the Palacios for the atrocities their mining company committed against their families.

Vivian (Lovely Rivero) later arrived as one of their accomplices, but she stopped her gloating against the collapsed Palacios when she found her daughter, Sofia (Charlie Fleming) also poisoned.

While she was threatening Cairo and Rico, Jerico (Royce Cabrera) also stood up from the floor and revealed himself as a mastermind who orchestrated everything.

He said he used his contacts as a former soldier to find people who have grievances against the Palacios to help him in his revenge.

Jerico, the child of Aurora (Jean Garcia) and Galvan's (Tonton Gutierrez) late brother Rodolfo, said his father left his mother behind until she eventually got sick and died.

He also learned from Paco (Rafael Rosell) before he died that he believed Aurora and Galvan killed Rodolfo.

Some viewers were surprised that Jerico was the mastermind, while others said they correctly predicted it. Others, however, think that the series still has a surprise in its finale.

Catch the last two episodes of "Widows' War" on Thursday and Friday at 8:50 p.m. after "Mga Batang Riles."
