Dennis Trillo was hilariously unrecognized outside 'Green Bones' cinema: 'Wala po silang kamalay-malay'

Dennis Trillo and Jennylyn Mercado had a movie date at a Quezon City mall but with a sneaky twist.

In his latest TikTok video, the Kapuso Drama King shared their tickets to watch the Metro Manila Film Festival entry, "The Kingdom." DenJen both wore face masks, and Dennis also had a cap.

But then Dennis saw the cinema for his film "Green Bones" and there was a long line for it.

"Haba ng pila, thank you," the actor said.

Dennis then walked along the line and removed his mask.

"Wala po silang kamalay-malay. Manonood sila ng 'Green Bones,'" he said.

He was not recognized by the moviegoers, though one elderly woman seemed to have caught on towards the end of the video.

Dennis won Best Actor at the 2024 MMFF for "Green Bones."

He portrayed Domingo Zamora who is notorious for the murder of his sister and her daughter. Now that Domingo is up for parole, newly assigned prison guard (Ruru Madrid) takes a personal interest in making sure that he remains behind bars no matter what.

Dennis donated his P100,000 cash prize to Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL).

The film also won Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor for Ruru, Best Screenplay for Ricky Lee and Angeli Atienza, Best Cinematography for Neil Daza, and Best Child Performer for Sienna Stevens.
