Jay Ortega plays viral gay guard in 'Magpakailanman'

Jay Ortega is widening his horizons in acting!

From the fierce Japanese soldier Akio Watanabe in "Pulang Araw," he took on the role of a gay security guard who went viral with a dancing video on social media.

Jay portrayed Gerald Concan, whose life was featured in the latest episode of "Magpakailanman" on Saturday.

There was no trace of Akio's quiet viciousness in Jay's performance, which showed his vulnerable side as an actor.

"Pulang Araw" is Jay's television debut. He is also hinted to be part of the "Sang'gre" cast. 

Jay officially signed a contract with Sparkle in December.
