Regine Tolentino and partner Dondi Narciso's love story started with Zumba

Regine Tolentino and her partner Dondi Narciso have opened up about their love story, which all started with a Zumba show.

In an episode of "Lutong Bahay," Regine said she was the Zumba show's host, and Dondi owns a production house and also works as a director and photographer. The show was given to their company, and Dondi’s co-director was in charge of it.

Dondi said that he was not involved at first, but his co-director messaged him and said, “Bro, baka gusto mo pumunta sa shoot ni Ms. Regine Tolentino. Single siya.”

Dondi added that he wasn’t looking for a relationship, but was encouraged to still try.

After a few episodes, Dondi started working as a lighting director and director of photography on Regine’s show.

“Buong three seasons, ako nag-D-DOP, walang bayad. As in libre, kasi crush ko na siya non,” Dondi told guest host Shuvee Entrata on “Lutong Bahay” on Friday.

Regine and Shuvee teased Dondi that he did a lot of tasks without pay, such as making coffee for Regine on set.

However, Regine didn’t know what to feel about Dondi back then.

“Actually, nung first kami nag-meet, ‘di ko nga alam eh. Kasi naka ilang taping siya tas ‘di kami naguusap,” Regine said.

The dancer and host said that she was just focused on work at the time.

Dondi understood, and said, “Medyo matagal ‘yung process pero ano naman, worth the wait.”

Regine and Dondi have one child together, a daughter named Rosie.
