Jillian Ward, Michael Sager reveal the qualities they like in each other

Jillian Ward and Michael Sager have nothing but kind words for each other after getting to work together more for “My Ilonggo Girl.”

During the media conference for the upcoming Kapuso series, the lead stars were asked to name the traits and qualities they like about each other.

“There’s too many eh,” Michael said.

According to the Sparkle actor, Jillian has a very kind heart, which is something he already noticed when they first met for a TV guesting.

“I was grateful because she gave me advice of what to do in the future, when I’m on set, when I’m working with others. And ‘yung advice na ‘yon was true and talagang authentic, and I appreciated it,” he said.

Michael added that Jillian is very helpful and always game.

“When we do scenes, kahit sino mang ka-partner niya, I think we can all say na ano talaga siya—magaan ka-trabaho because she will support you. That’s important po kasi minsan, nahihirapan ka, she’s always there by my side, and I really appreciate that, Jill,” he said.

“She’s just always game. We play chess, ‘yun ‘yung naging bonding namin, and I think that was a good way to know each other.”

Meanwhile, Jillian said that Michael is very attentive.

“Sabi niya nga, he finds me helpful, but I think it’s because attentive lang siya. He really listens kung ano man ang sasabihin sa kaniya ng mga ka-work niya, ng mga kasama niya,” she said.

The Star of the New Gen said that his attentiveness also makes his co-stars feel more comfortable.

Jillian also described Michael as “very helpful” and “very hardworking.”

“‘Pag meron po kaming mga need, ako, may mga need, he really tries to help out,” she said.  “Sobrang hardworking ni Michael, as in. Siguro po tatlo ‘yung work na ginagawa niya in a day.”

She completed her list by saying, “Grabe po ‘yung faith niya kay God. He always talks about God and he always prays. He’s very religious.”

Jillian and Michael will star in “My Ilonggo Girl” with Arra San Agustin, Lianne Valentin, Empoy Marquez, Teresa Loyzaga, Arlene Muhlach, Richard Quan, Andrea Del Rosario, Vince Maristela, and Geo Mhanna.

It will premiere on January 13 at 9:35 p.m. on GMA Prime. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
