Sofronio Vasquez says Michael Bublé promised to help in his career

Michael Bublé's support for Sofronio Vasquez does not end in "The Voice USA."

On Thursday's episode of "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," Sofronio said the Canadian coach of the singing competition promised to guide him on his career.

"He promised me that he [would] not stop helping me until I [reached] a billion," Sofronio said.

In the same segment, the "Tawag ng Tanghalan" alum said he chose to be part of Team Bublé in "The Voice USA" because Michael has been his idol since he was young.

Sofronio also shared in the show that Michael talked to him about his previous connection to Kristine Hermosa.

Earlier, Sofronio had a grand homecoming on "It's Showtime," where he offered a performance of his winning piece "A Million Dreams."

He also paid a courtesy call on President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. at the Malacañang Palace.

Sofronio, who made history as the first Filipino and Asian to win "The Voice USA," is set to hold his first solo concert in Cebu on January 18.
