Sofronio Vasquez says Michael Buble talked to him about Kristine Hermosa: 'He is so proud of it'
Sofronio Vasquez said his "The Voice USA" mentor, Michael Buble, talked to him about his previous connection to Filipina actress Kristine Hermosa.
In Thursday's episode of "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," Sofronio said Michael opened up to him about Kristine.
“Nakwento niya sa akin na nagkaroon sila ng conversation and talagang nagkaroon [siya] ng link with our diyosa, Krstine Hermosa,” “The Voice USA” Season 26 winner said.
[He told me about a particular conversation with Kristine where they were able to form a connection.]
"He is so proud of it, na kumbaga, in-admire niya how beautiful [Kristine is]," he added.
[He is so proud of it, he really admires how beautiful Kristine is.]
Sofronio also joked that Kristine might be one of the reasons why Michael has a soft spot for Filipinos.
“Kaya siguro talagang napamahal siya sa mga Pinoy kasi hindi siya nagtagumpay,” he said with a laugh.
[Maybe that's why he has a soft sport for Filipinos because he didn't succeed.]
Earlier, Sofronio had a grand homecoming on "It's Showtime," where he offered a performance of his winning piece "A Million Dreams."
He also paid a courtesy call on President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. at the Malacañang Palace.
Sofronio, who made history as the first Filipino and Asian to win "The Voice USA," is set to hold his first solo concert in Cebu on January 18.
