Win Gatchalian on rumored split with Bianca Manalo: I don't comment on my personal life

Senator Sherwin Gatchalian on Wednesday refused to confirm nor deny rumors that he and actress Bianca Manalo have already called their relationship quits.

"Alam niyo naman 'di ako nagko-comment sa personal life ko (You know me, I don't comment on my personal life)," Gatchalian said during the Kapihan sa Senado when asked to confirm articles online hinting that his relationship with the beauty queen.

The senator also responded "secret" to reporters' playful question, asking if he had someone to hug during the holiday season.

He repeatedly responded "no comment" when pressed to talk about his relationship status with Manalo.

"Masaya naman ako parati. Masaya naman ako as a person...Pinagpawisan tuloy ako sa inyo," he said.

Rumors of the breakup sparked as Gatchalian posted holiday photos of him with his family without Manalo.

Manalo is among the local celebrities who chose to spend their 2024 holiday break abroad. The beauty queen/actress celebrated last year's Christmas and New Year's Day in Japan with her family. Bianca had a white Christmas in Niseko, Hokkaido, and capped off her trip to Tokyo.

The two have not deleted their photos together in their official Instagram accounts, but it can be noticed that their latest photos together was two months ago when they visited several provinces in the Bicol Region to extend assistance to the victims of typhoon Kristine.

In December 2023, Manalo was dragged into a controversy with her "Magandang Dilag" co-star Rob Gomez after screenshots of their alleged conversation made rounds online, insinuating that the two were involved in an affair.

Manalo dismissed it as "false rumors circulating on the internet," with Gatchalian saying their relationship was "going strong."

The couple attended President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.'s third State of the Nation Address together in July.
