Mikee Quintos grateful to Suzi Entrata-Abrera for welcoming her in showbiz industry
Mikee Quintos and Suzi Entrata-Abrera shared a heartwarming moment on Monday's episode of "Lutong Bahay."
Mikee and Kuya Dudut visited the veteran "Unang Hirit" host and her daughter, Jade, for the show, where they cooked Suzi's Thai red curry mussels.
In the episode, the Sparkle star took the opportunity to express her gratitude to the Kapuso host for sincerely welcoming her in the industry.
"Isa po kayo sa mga unang na-meet ko sa industriya sa 'Mars.' I just wanna thank you for the sincerity, as in, hindi kayo 'yung pag-cut ng mga camera, nag-iiba na," said Mikee.
"Thank you for welcoming people like me sa industry kasi without people like you po, mas nakakatakot pumasok sa showbiz."
Years ago, Mikee guested on the Kapuso talk show "Mars," which was hosted by Suzi and Camille Prats.
Suzi, who was visibly moved, also thanked Mikee for what she said and congratulated her on her show, "Lutong Bahay."
"Actually medyo naiyak nga ako eh. Thank you for saying that kasi, you know, sometimes we do our job na hindi naman tayo sure kung nag-l-leave siya ng lasting impression. Congratulations on this, and enjoy it," she said, teary-eyed.
"From the bottom of my heart, I appreciate your existence," Mikee replied.
Suzi's daughter, Jade, also praised her mom for working hard for their family and for being her best friend.
"I'm so grateful that you're such a hard worker so that we can have opportunities like this where I can talk to you and have fun and meet new people. And wala lang, thank you talaga, thanks for always being my best friend. Siya talaga ang best friend ko, honestly," she said.
Suzi is married to broadcaster and TV host Paolo Abrera. They have three daughters: Leona, Jade, and Antonella.
She is one of the OG hosts of "Unang Hirit," which airs weekdays at 5:30 a.m. on GMA Network.
Meanwhile, "Lutong Bahay" airs weekdays at 5:45 p.m. on GTV.
