'Moments of Love: On Borrowed Time' not a sequel to 'Moments of Love,' says Mark Reyes

'Moments of Love: On Borrowed Time' not a sequel to 'Moments of Love,' says Mark Reyes

The upcoming Kapuso film "Moments of Love: On Borrowed Time" is not a continuation of the 2006 movie "Moments of Love."

Director Mark Reyes made the clarification on Facebook after a user claimed that the film is a sequel of the beloved movie that starred Dingdong Dantes and Iza Calzado.

"It's an entirely new story, but again is about an extra-ordinary love between two people from two different time periods," he said.

"Moments of Love" follows the story of a photographer named Marco (Dingdong) who is living in the year 2006 and connects with a woman named Divina (Iza) from 1957 through a telephone conversation.

As for "Moments of Love: On Borrowed Time," no official announcements have been made yet about the story and casting.

The film, however, is included in GMA Network's announced offerings for 2025.

Aside from "Moments of Love," Reyes is known for directing both the original "Encantadia" series in 2005 and its remake in 2016. He also worked on "Voltes V: Legacy."
