Sienna Stevens wins Best Child Performer for 'Green Bones' at MMFF 2024 Gabi ng Parangal
Sparkle star Sienna Stevens won Best Child Performer for her role in "Green Bones" at the Metro Manila Film Festival 2024.
The young actress took to the stage and gave an emotional, heartfelt speech.
"Wow. Una po, thank you kay Papa God, I love you. Thank you sa tiwala niyo sa akin, sa award, sa pag-coach, sa pag-arte wala pong iba kundi ang mama. Super thank you mommy for guiding me, I love you. Sa daddy at kapatid ko, Sean, thank you for supporting and believing in me," she said.
"At sa GMA Sparkle, I love you. Sa manager ko, Tita Tracey, Attorney James, Tito Tabs, mwah! Thank you Ms. Annette, Tita Nessa, Ms. Anj, Tito JC, Direk Zig, hindi ko po magagawa maayos ang role na ito kundi sa inyong lahat. At tsaka sa 'Green Bones' family, thank you."
Other nominees for Best Child Performer include Kian Co for "Espantaho" and Zion Cruz for "The Kingdom."
Sienna stars in "Green Bones" alongside Dennis Trillo, Ruru Madrid, Michael De Mesa, Alessandra De Rossi, Kylie Padilla, Ronnie Lazaro, Mikoy Morales, Gerhard Acao, Iza Calzado, Sofia Pablo, and more.
It is directed by Kapuso filmmaker Zig Dulay based on an original story by JC Rubio, senior documentary manager of GMA Public Affairs. Meanwhile, National Artist Ricky Lee and MMFF 2023 Best Screenplay winner Anj Atienza wrote its screenplay.
The awarding ceremony is currently happening at Solaire Resort in Paranaque City.
