'Pulang Araw' lead cast look back on memorable scenes as series nears finale
Alden Richards, Barbie Forteza, Dennis Trillo, David Licauco, and Sanya Lopez looked back on their memorable scenes in "Pulang Araw" as the series marks its finale week on GMA Prime.
According to Nelson Canlas' report on "24 Oras," Tuesday, the lead cast members reminisced about the scenes that they'll never forget and the ones that tested their mettle as actors.
"'Yung breakdown scene ni Eduardo when he learned about Teresita being kidnapped by the Japanese. Parang 'yun 'yung isa sa mga pinaka-challenging scenes ko dito," shared Alden.
For David, it was his scene with Alden early on in the series
"I think for me that was the most challenging scene ever for me. Kasi maraming rollercoaster of emotions na I had to do and, surprisingly, I was able to do it," the Pambansang Ginoo said.
Meanwhile, among the scenes Sanya won't forget are her emotional scenes with Barbie.
"Iba-iba kasi. Naikuwento ko nga kahit kay Adelina, 'yung una namin confrontation. Meron rin kami nung naghiwalay din kami ni Adelina. Marami sa vaudeville, 'yung comfort women na mga eksena. Marami, 'yung kay Yuta," she said.
Barbie, for her part, shared that they are all happy because they were able to create an important project together and also form a beautiful bond with each other.
"Cliche man sabihin pero sama-sama kami sa hirap at pagod. Ang pagod ng isa, pagod ng lahat. Ang pawis ng isa, pawis ng lahat," said the Kapuso Primetime Princess.
Dennis also expressed his joy for being a part of the series, which marked his first-ever kontrabida role.
"Masaya 'yung pakiramdam dahil nakagawa kami ng isang proyekto na hindi ka lang ma-e-entertain at matututo ka pa. Malalaman mo kung ano 'yung history ng pagkatao mo, ng pagiging Pilipino," he said.
"Pulang Araw" will air its final episode on Friday, December 27, on GMA Prime.
Catch the series on weeknights at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras." It is also streaming on Netflix.
