'Mga Batang Riles' lead cast on being called action stars, what they see for each other in 2025
“Mga Batang Riles” is set to premiere in January 2025 and its cast members are already being called the "Action Stars of the New Generation."
In Lhar Santiago's report in “24 Oras” on Monday, Miguel Tanfelix, Kokoy De Santos, Raheel Bhyria, and Antonio Vinzon were asked about what they think of this label.
“Exciting 'yung bansag na 'yan. Para sa akin tinatrato ko siya bilang bagong chapter ng career ko eh. ‘Yung title na parang action star, laking responsibility rin eh, di ba?” Miguel said.
Meanwhile, for Kokoy, the show marks a new journey for him.
“Never in my wildest dream na magkakaroon ako ng ganitong klaseng proyekto. Action pa,” he added.
As for Antonio, he is blessed to be part of the action-packed series. He added that he needs to improve his fighting skills because his dad, Roi Vinzon, was an action star.
“I’m blessed po to be here sa 'Mga Batang Riles.' Bilang si papa, naging action star siya dati, so kailangang i-improve pa natin 'yung fighting ko,” he said.
The Riles Boys were also asked what they see in each other’s future in 2025.
“Kay Miguel yayaman po 'yan sa cryptocurrency,” Raheel said.
For Kokoy, he sees that Antonio will be able to handle the challenges he will face in 2025, while Antonio said that Kokoy will be more blessed with projects next year.
As for Raheel’s future, Miguel shared, “Ang nakikita ko kay Raheel ngayong 2025, sobrang sasaya 'yung puso niya. Ano ha, romantically, love life."
“Mga Batang Riles” follows the townspeople of Sitio Liwanag, who will do what it takes to keep their homes and fight for their rights against the rich Victor family, who own a realty company and want to take the land to create a modern complex.
Aside from Miguel (Kidlat), Kokoy (Kulot), Raheel (Sig), and Antonio (Dagul), Bruce Roeland (Matos) is also one of the Riles Boys in the series.
Other cast members include Diana Zubiri, Desiree Del Valle, Jay Manalo, and Ronnie Ricketts among others.
“Mga Batang Riles” will premiere on January 6, 2025 on GMA Prime.
