SB19 thankful that 'Nyebe' is official soundtrack of ‘Green Bones’
SB19 has nothing but gratitude for being part of the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival entry “Green Bones.”
As seen in Aubrey Carampel’s report in “24 Oras” on Monday, “Green Bones” star Dennis Trillo had an exclusive interview with the P-pop Kings where they talked about their song “Nyebe,” which was used as the official soundtrack of the MMFF entry.
According to member Ken, they are grateful for having their song featured in the film.
“Sobrang thankful po kami dahil nagustuhan niyo po 'yung 'Nyebe' na kanta at napili niyo po na ilagay sa movie niyo po kaya maraming maraming salamat. Sobrang thankful po talaga namin,” Ken said.
The group is also thankful that many people will be able to listen to the song through the movie. Per the report, "Nyebe" was written during a time when the members were away from their families.
Stell also shared that despite the song's intention being different, it can fit in any story.
“Kahit naman yung song na ‘Nyebe’ iba 'yung intensyon niya nung lyrics pero kahit sa ibang klaseng kwento mo siya ilagay o ipatong, didikit at didikit po siya. Goosebumps 'yung naramdaman ko po talaga doon sa trailer na ‘yun,” he said.
Previously, Stell and Pablo attended the star-studded premiere night of “Green Bones” at the SM North Edsa.
In their post taken from the premiere, SB19 thanked GMA Network for inviting them to the event and said they were beyond honored that “Nyebe” was chosen to be the movie's official theme song.
"Green Bones" is based on an original story by JC Rubio, senior documentary manager of GMA Public Affairs, with its screenplay written by National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts Ricky Lee and MMFF 2023 Best Screenplay winner Anj Atienza. It is directed by Direk Zig Dulay and produced by GMA Public Affairs and GMA Pictures.
The film follows a prisoner (Dennis Trillo) who is infamous for the murder of his sister and her daughter. Already up for parole, a newly assigned prison guard (Ruru Madrid) takes a personal interest in making sure that he remains behind bars no matter what it takes.
“Green Bones” will premiere in cinemas nationwide on December 25. Tickets are now available.
