Gary V recovering from dehydration; vital signs, blood tests are normal
Gary Valenciano’s team has posted an update on the singer’s health after he cut his concert on Friday early due to health concerns.
On Gary’s Facebook, his team thanked those who expressed concern and sent prayers.
“God is gracious, all Gary’s vital signs and blood test results are normal; he is recovering from a bout of repeated vomiting before the concert yesterday, and as a result, dehydration,” they said.
They added that they will make an announcement regarding his December 22 concert after a conference with Gary’s doctors.
In a previous post, Gary’s wife, Angeli Pangilinan, said that he “ingested something and vomited so many times.”
In her next post, Angeli told fans not to worry.
“A Type 1 diabetic goes through serious medical issues and we couldn’t afford what we call diabetic ketoacidosis so we are making sure he balances everything in a while,” Angeli said and also thanked the fans for their prayers.
In 2019, Gary survived kidney cancer.
"Battling with type-1 diabetes, then a bypass, and kidney cancer... I'm still here. And He has been as faithful as ever. Indeed there is absolutely nothing impossible with God."
Gary has been holding his “Pure Energy” concerts throughout the year in celebration of his 40th year in the entertainment industry.
His top hits include “Di Bale Nalang,” “Di Na Natuto,” “Warrior is a Child,” “Shout for Joy,” “Sana Maulit Muli,” and “Take Me Out of the Dark,” among many others.
