Dennis Trillo, Ruru Madrid head star-studded ‘Green Bones’ premiere night
Dennis Trillo and Ruru Madrid were all smiles as they greeted fans and fellow stars present during the black carpet and premiere night of “Green Bones” in Quezon City on Friday.
Among those present at the event for the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival entry are "Green Bones" director Zig Dulay and one of the film's screenwriters, National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts Ricky Lee.
GMA Network executives also graced the premiere, including GMA Network Senior Vice President for Programming, Talent Management, Worldwide, and Support Group and GMA Films President, Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes; GMA Pictures Executive Vice President and GMA Public Affairs First Vice President and Nessa Valdellon; and Sparkle GMA Artist Center First Vice President Joy Marcelo.
Also present are cast members Mikoy Morales, Sofia Pablo, Alessandra de Rossi, Pauline Mendoza, and Iza Calzado.
Meanwhile, those who attended to show their support include Jennylyn Mercado, Bianca Umali, Bryce Eusebio, Paul Salas, Marco Masa, Ashley Sarmiento, Allen Ansay, Kyline Alcantara, and SB19's Stell and Pablo. The P-Pop group's song, "Nyebe," is the official soundtrack of the film.
In Aubrey Carampel's report on "24 Oras" on Friday, Dennis shared they feel overwhelmed by the positive reviews that the film received after its special preview event recently.
"Napakatama ng pakiramdam, sobrang overwhelmed kami sa magagandang reviews kaya sana gusto na naming mapanood 'to ng marami para maibahagi naming 'yung magandang mensahe na dala ng project na 'to," he said.
Ruru added that the film will definitely tug at the heartstrings.
"Talagang tatamaan po talaga. Nung ginawa po namin 'to talagang pinusuan at talagang minahal namin 'tong project. 'Yun po ay para sa hangarin na makapagbigay ng isang inspirational film para po sa mga manonood," he shared.
“Green Bones" is based on an original story by JC Rubio, senior documentary manager of GMA Public Affairs, with its screenplay written by Ricky Lee and MMFF 2023 Best Screenplay winner Anj Atienza. It is produced by GMA Public Affairs and GMA Pictures.
The film follows a prisoner (Dennis) who is infamous for the murder of his sister and her daughter. Already up for parole, a newly assigned prison guard (Ruru) takes a personal interest in making sure that he remains behind bars no matter what it takes.
