Sanya Lopez proud to be part of 'Pulang Araw,' teases intense last episodes

Sanya Lopez is nothing short of proud to be part of "Pulang Araw," which has already wrapped up its taping.

In Lhar Santiago's report on "24 Oras," Thursday, the Sparkle star called the groundbreaking Kapuso series "timeless."

"Lahat ng ginawa ko kasing shows sobrang mahal na mahal ko pero ito sobrang sarap lang sa pakiramdam na ipagmalaki pa lalo na sa mga susunod na henerasyon," she said.

"Hindi maluluma, 'yun 'yung masarap dito sa show na ginawa ko, dito sa teleserye na 'to."

Sanya did not give any spoilers for the show's last few episodes, but she teased that these will be intense.

"Abangan ninyo kung anong mangyayari sa finale kina Teresita, Eduardo, Hiroshi at Adelina. Kasi andami nakaabang, 'Ano ba? May mamamatay ba? Sino ang mamamatay? Ilan ang mamamatay?' Itong giyera na 'to, mag-iiwan ng scar sa ating mga Pinoy, kumbaga ganun 'yung iniwan ng giyerang 'to," she said.

Now that taping for the series is over, the actress also shared that she is looking forward to spending Christmas with her family and friends. She will also be present at the GMA New Year Countdown.

"Pulang Araw" was originally a 100-episode series, but it was extended for two more weeks, with a total of 110 episodes.

Sanya stars in the show alongside Alden Richards (Eduardo), Barbie Forteza (Adelina), and David Licauco (Hiroshi).

The series airs weeknights on GMA Prime at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras." It is also streaming on Netflix.
