Kapuso youth-oriented series 'Maka’ to return for Season 2 in January 2025

Kapuso youth-oriented series “Maka” will be back for a second season!

The show announced the good news in a social media post just after airing its last episode on Saturday.

“‘Maka’ Season 2 abangan sa January 2025!” the caption read.

“See you next year, mga Kapuso!” it added.

As per the post, “Maka” Season 2 will premiere on January 25, 2025. The show aired its season finale on December 7.

"Maka," features a cast comprising a blend of Gen Z and Gen X stars.

Romnick Sarmenta, former "That's Entertainment" stars Tina Paner, Jojo Alejar, Sharmain Arnaiz, and Maricar De Mesa are among the older generation in the series.

The young blood in the cast, meanwhile, are Zephanie, Lapillus member Chanty, Marco Masa, Ashley Sarmiento, Dylan Menor, Sean Lucas, John Clifford, Olive May, and May Ann Basa or "Bangus Girl."

Produced by GMA Public Affairs, "Maka” premiered on September 21. It follows a group of students in Maka High School, which is about to be closed down.
