Is Jay Ortega going to be part of the 'Sang'gre' cast?'

Jay Ortega left many viewers impressed for his portrayal of Japanese Imperial Army captain Akio Watanabe in "Pulang Araw."

His character just made his exit in the series, but it looks like we'll be seeing Jay on the screen again sooner rather than later.

On X, "Pulang Araw" writer Suzette Doctolero lauded Jay for his impressive acting skills and mentioned what could very well be the actor's next project.

"Salamat sa mahusay na pagganap kahit first time mong umarte," she said, tagging Jay. "Lakas ng stage presence e! See you sa Encantadia Sang'gre taping. Hahaha."

"Sang'gre" is the spinoff of the iconic Kapuso fantaserye "Encantadia," top-billed by Bianca Umali, Angel Guardian, Faith Da Silva, and Kelvin Miranda as the new keepers of the brilyantes.

Suzette is also the writer for the series, which will also star Rhian Ramos as the main antagonist.

Meanwhile, "Pulang Araw" airs weekdays on GMA Prime at 8 p.m. and also streams on Netflix.
