Cassy Legaspi, Darren Espanto teased on 'It's Showtime': 'Welcome to EXpecially for You'

The “It’s Showtime” hosts didn't miss the chance to poke fun at Cassy Legaspi and Darren Espanto on Friday.
 
Cassy guested on the show and played in the segment, “And the Breadwinner Is,” wherein contestants would have to choose the real breadwinner from a set of three people.

Even before Cassy came in, Vice Ganda tasked Darren to introduce her. When she entered, the “Showtime” hosts moved away and left Cassy and Darren at the center of the stage.

“Hi Cassy, welcome to EXpecially For You,” Vice said as they hugged. She added that Darren also made sure to brush his teeth right before the segment.

“Pawis na pawis ‘yung mukha [ni Darren] oh,” Vice added.

Bela Padilla also teased, “Darren, bat di ka makatingin kay Cassy?”

Darren replied, “Kaya ko tumingin kay Cass!”

All the hosts could not help but laugh at Cassy and Darren throughout the segment.

Cassy and Darren have previously been the subject of dating rumors, but the Kapuso actress clarified they are just best friends. Darren also said that he doesn’t have a girlfriend.

The two were each other’s dates at the GMA Gala and ABS-CBN Ball in 2023, and had also traveled to Batangas, Japan, and California together.
