Marian Rivera, Dingdong Dantes beyond proud of Zia's first stage performance
Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes are beyond proud of their daughter, Zia, after she had her first-ever stage performance where she sang Andra Day's "Rise Up."
In Katrina Son's report on "24 Oras," Friday, the Kapuso Primetime King shared that he was already proud of his daughter even before she started singing on stage.
"Kahit hindi pa siya nagbubuka ng bibig niya talagang proud na proud na 'ko kasi the fact na nakarating siya dun and 'yung kaniyang willingness na mag-perform on stage in front of so many people. Hanga ako sa bravery niya at pinakahigit sa lahat, nag-enjoy siya," he said.
Marian also expressed her joy that Zia got to try this for herself because she loves to sing.
"First time niya ito at kung 'di ako nagkakamali siguro napakabilis lang nung mga rehearsal namin kasi siyempre andami niyang ginagawa sa school, pero nagkaroon siya ng lakas ng loob na subukan ito para sa kaniya at hilig niya talaga ang pagkanta," the Kapuso Primetime Queen said.
Per Dingdong, he felt nervous for Zia's performance, but Marian was more extreme.
"Ito grabe, parang every two minutes tumatayo di mo alam kung iihi o ano, grabe talaga ibang klase. Ganun siya talaga ka-excited dun sa performance ng anak namin," he said.
He added that no one in their family sings professionally and he's happy that Zia discovered her love of singing early on in her life.
"Kami ang role namin bilang mga magulang talaga ay susuportahan namin 'yun," he said.
As for Marian, she's nothing short of grateful to everyone who showed their support and praised Zia's performance.
"Gusto ko talaga na personal na magpasalamat sa lahat ng nakaka-appreciate sa anak ko. Maraming, maraming salamat sa kanila," she said.
Early this week, Dingdong shared a photo of Zia on stage during her performance and wrote, "A parent's golden moment."
In November, Zia celebrated her ninth birthday, where she transformed into a pop star for her sing-along party.
She also received a birthday gift from one of her idols, Olivia Rodrigo, whose "Guts" concert in Bulacan she attended in October.
