Maris Racal on released screenshots: I'm truly embarrassed dahil nakita ng tao lahat ng 'yon without my consent'

Maris Racal has finally issued a statement after Anthony Jennings' girlfriend, Jamela Villanueva, exposed his infidelity with the actress.

Tearful, Maris came clean and took accountability for everything.

"Nagkamali ako and I wanna say sorry for everything that I have done," she said.

In her video statement released by ABS-CBN News, Maris addressed the released screenshots of her conversations with Anthony and said she was "gutted" and "shocked."

"I'm truly, truly embarrassed dahil nakita ng tao lahat ng yon without my consent, against my will," Maris said.

According to Maris, the screenshots presented "the perfect narrative."

"There was this other woman, there was this apologetic boyfriend and the avoidant boyfriend toward the other woman, and the scorned woman. That's the narrative. That's her side of the story and there's nothing wrong with that," Maris said, adding reading the screenshots explained to her why Anthony couldn't release a statement about being single, as she has been asking him these last few months.

"Those screenshots, duon ko napagtagpi-tagpi ang lahat. Na kaya pala hindi siya naka -elease ng statement dahil sila pa pala [single] this whole entire time."

"I didn't know. I was in the dark. I didn't know. I had no idea," Maris said, adding the screenshots helped her realize why Jamela reacted the way she did.

"Now I get her," Maris said pertaining to Anthony's ex-girlfriend. "I get her pain, I get her wrath, I get her anger. Kaya pala ganon. She was clueless about everything. I was clueless about everything. We both believed kung ano man ang sinabi sa amin."

Saying she still had so many things to say, Maris began by apologizing to the public. "I'm sorry you got to see that very intimate side of me. Ganon talaga ako pagnagbigay ng pagmamahal. It was supposed to be private."

"It was supposed to be a private, intimate thing," she said.

Maris and Anthony have been the hot topic all this week, after Jamela took to her Instagram Stories and released screengrabs of their conversation exposing his infidelity.

Earlier this week, Anthony announced his breakup from Jamela, and asked fans to spare his love team partner, Maris from the issue.

Maris and Anthony made waves for their tandem as Irene and Snoop in the series, “Can’t Buy Me Love.”

The two are part of the upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival entry "And the Breadwinner Is..." starring Vice Ganda.
