Jillian Ward, Michael Sager excited to work together in upcoming series 'My Ilonggo Girl'
Jillian Ward and Michael Sager will star in the upcoming Kapuso series "My Ilonggo Girl" and they're nothing short of excited about working with each other.
According to Lhar Santiago's report on "24 Oras," Thursday, Jillian and Michael already had a pictorial for the series.
For the Sparkle star, the upcoming series would be quite fun compared to her previous series, "Abot-Kamay Na Pangarap," where her characer, Doc Analyn, often cried.
"Dito naman po medyo mas fun lang po dito, pero challenging pa rin or me kasi 'yung isa ko pong character may Ilonggo accent po siya," she said.
She also shared that she's excited because this is the first time she'll have a loveteam in a show.
"Excited po ako kasi first time ko po magkakaroon ng parang love team talaga sa isang show kasi po 'yung dun sa ['Abot-Kamay na Pangarap'] 'yung mga ka-pair ko po parang puro unexpected."
Michael also expressed his excitement for working with Jillian.
"Excited po ako siguro kasi iba 'yung chemistry na na-sh-share namin when we're on set, so I'm looking forward to this partnership," he said.
He added that he felt starstruck when he met Jillian the first time.
"Napakaganda, siguro siya 'yung one of the artists na na-starstruck ako when I first met her and what's crazy about Jill is napakabait niya. 'Yung personality niya dagdag sa ganda niya na very welcoming," said Michael.
Jillian shared the same sentiments, noting, "I could say the same din po kay Michael kasi una sa lahat mabait po si Michael, he also looks good so na-excite din po ako maka-work siya."
"Abot-Kamay Na Pangarap" ended in October after reigning for more than two years on GMA Afternoon Prime.
Michael currently stars in "Shining Inheritance" alongside Kate Valdez, Kyline Alcantara, Coney Reyes, and more. It airs weekdays at 3:20 p.m. on GMA Afternoon Prime.
