Lola Amour dedicates Awit award for Best Novelty Recording to Michael V.: 'Such an honor and privilege to work with a genius like you'
Lola Amour was among the big winners at the 37th Awit Awards, taking home four awards including Best Novelty Recording for "Waiting Here sa Pila," the parody version of their megahit "Raining in Manila."
On Instagram, Lola Amour dedicated the trophy to Michael V., with whom they collaborated for the song.
"Sir Michael V., this is your award!" the band said in the caption.
"Such an honor and privilege to work with a genius like you," they added.
In the comment section, Michael V. congratulated the band and teased, "Collab soon?"
"Sab nga ni Troy and Gabriella: 'It's the start of something new…'," the King of Philippine Parody commented.
In November, Lola Amour officially released "Waiting Here sa Pila" as a single. The song is part of their tour EP, "Raining in Manila (Tour Edition)."
Aside from Lola Amour, BINI was also a big winner at this year's Awit Awards, taking home trophies for Favorite Group Artist, Favorite Song of the Year, and Favorite Record of the Year for "Pantropiko."
The Nation's Girl Group was also given the Favorite Music Video of the Year for "Karera."
Congratulations!
