BINI, Lola Amour win big at the 37th Awit Awards
BINI and Lola Amour were the big winners of the 37th Awit Awards, each taking home four trophies on Wednesday night.
BINI was hailed the Favorite Group Artist, Favorite Song of the Year, Favorite Record of the Year, for "Pantropiko." The Nation's Girl Group was also given the Favorite Music Video of the Year for "Karera."
Meanwhile, Lola Amour won big for "Raining in Manila," taking home Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Recording, as well as Best Novelty Recording for "Waiting Here sa Pila," done in collaboration with Michael V.
As SB19 won two awards — Best Dance/Electric Recording and Best Performance by a Group — for "Gento," its member Josh Cullen bagged Best Music Video of the Year for "Wild Tonight."
Fresh off his first major solo concert, Juan Karlos took home two Awit awards last night: Best Ballad Recording for "Tapusin Na Natin 'To" and Best Alternative Recording for "Ere."
Parokya ni Edgar won the Dangal ng Musikang Pilipino award, while Buddy de Vera, Danilo Olivares, and Ramon Chuaying were hailed Lifetime Achievement Awardees.
