Rufa Mae Quinto denies involvement in 'scam issue', vows to cooperate with authorities

Rufa Mae Quinto has broken her silence after her legal counsel confirmed that she has a standing warrant of arrest for alleged violations of the securities regulation code.

"I have no connection whatsoever to any fraudulent activity and I categorically deny these baseless accusations. If anything, I am also a victim and I am determined to seek justice," she said in a statement released on Tuesday addressing her alleged involvement in a "scam issue."

"It is dejecting to see my name being dragged through the mud, but I remain steadfast and confident that the truth will soon prevail," she added.

Quinto is facing a case in relation to the issue of the same company involved in the arrest of actress-entrepreneur Neri Naig.

According to her lawyer, Atty. Mary Louise Reyes, Quinto will voluntarily surrender to authorities and will post bail.

"I will cooperate fully with the authorities and face this issue through the proper legal forum. Rest assured, I will fight for my name and reputation," she said.

The actress thanked everyone who support and asked the public for their patience and understanding as "the truth unfolds."
