Kuya Kim calls the Kapuso network his 'home'

The Kapuso Network will always be home for Kuya Kim.

At the media conference of GMA’s newest infotainment program “Dami Mong Alam, Kuya Kim!” the TV host described what the Kapuso Network means to him. 

“GMA to me is my home. It is my passion and my meaning,” Kuya Kim said.

“It gives me meaning and relevance in my life, to be able to express what I want to, to the most people, and GMA has given me that opportunity,” he added. 

Kuya Kim joined GMA Network three years ago, and said his first day as a Kapuso is his most memorable experience with GMA so far.

“Never in my wildest dreams did I think that I will be a Kapuso,” Kuya Kim explained, while adding the 2022 Seoul Halloween crowd crush coverage in South Korea was the one that made an impact on him.

“The most memorable in terms of work was when I was sent to Korea to cover the Halloween parade, which turned out to be the biggest tragedy in the decade. We were there before the Korean press,” he said.

Ahead of his new show's media conference, Kuya Kim renewed his three-year contract with GMA Network on Monday. 

Kuya Kim, whose career in the industry has spanned two decades, is known for his famous trivia shows on TV and radio.

In October 2021, the versatile host joined GMA Network and hosted the talk show “Mars Pa More” and the news magazine show “Dapat Alam Mo!” on GTV.

He currently hosts the “24 Oras” segment “Kuya Kim Ano Na," the noontime variety game show “TiktoClock," and GMA's latest infotainment program "Dami Mong Alam, Kuya Kim," which debuted on November 30.
