Akon arrives in the Philippines for V1BE Manila
Akon has arrived in the Philippines for V1BE Manila, the grandest hip-hop experience happening on December 3 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
On social media on Sunday, live events curator L-Squared Productions Philippines shared clips of the international star's arrival at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, where he was welcomed by fans.
"Welcome to Manila, AKON! The Global Superstar is here—Don’t miss his legendary performance at #V1BEManila2024," the post read.
In a separate post, L-Squared Productions PH shared a compilation of clips of Akon's first day in Manila. The Grammy-nominated artist could be seen walking and dancing inside a mall, as well as taking photos with his Filipino fans.
Akon will be headlining V1BE Manila on Tuesday. He will be joined by SB19's Pablo, alongside Gloc-9, Flow G, and Eminem's protégé Ez Mil.
DJ Kat Jaydon, rap group Legit Misfitz, Chocolate Factory, K-pop star Lucas, and hip-hop artist Dappest X adL are also part of the festival.
The American singer is known for the songs "Smack That," "Don't Matter," "Right Now (Na Na Na)," "Lonely," and more.
