Neri Naig arrest: Celebrities express support for actress, husband Chito Miranda
Following the arrest of Neri Naig, several celebrities expressed their support for the actress and her husband Chito Miranda.
On Instagram, fellow actors and actresses commented on Chito's post about what happened to his wife.
Yasmien Kurdi, Nadine Samonte, Nyoy Volante, Donnalyn Bartolome, and others said they are praying for the couple.
"Malalagpasan ninyo ang pagsubok na eto in Jesus Name," "Hello, Love, Again" star Joross Gamboa said.
"Mabait ang Diyos! Hindi kayo pababayaan," added Moonstar88 lead guitarist Herbert Hernandez.
Chito's uncle, Kiko Pangilinan, offered legal support. Other members of the Pangilinan family, like Frankie, Anthony, and Candy also reached out and gave comforting words for the couple.
"Hang in there bro, praying for Neri and the whole family…and the Justice system - or lack of it - in this country," Anthony said.
Other celebrities dropped praying hands emojis to express their support.
Neri was arrested on November 23. She is facing charges of syndicated estafa and violations of the securities regulation code.
In his post, Chito defended his wife and said she is innocent of any wrongdoing. He said she was only an endorser and her face was used to get investors.
"Never nanloko si Neri, at never siya nanlamang sa kapwa. Never siyang kumuha or nanghingi ng pera kahit kanino man," he said.
"Eto 'yung babaeng kinulong ninyo without bail, habang nakalaya pa 'yung mga tunay na may kasalanan."
