Miriam Quiambao shares core memory from hosting 'Unang Hirit'

Miriam Quiambao returned "Unang Hirit" on Thursday morning and talked about her favorite memories on the show.

The former beauty queen and actress was one of the original hosts of the morning show when it started in 1999. While she was in New York after competing in Miss Universe, she was offered the hosting job.

"Exciting din 'yung opportunity na 'yon, so tinaggap ko na s'yempre," Miriam told host Suzi Entrata-Abrera. "Thank you for the opportunity po."

Looking back, Miriam said her favorite and most special memory was bonding with her fellow hosts.

"'Yung kwentuhan natin in between takes. 'Di ba 'yung may gap commercial, magkukuwentuhan. Tapos pagdating ng gap, okay, back to work. Tapos after nun, ituloy ang kwentuhan" she said.

Suzi also revealed that she kept the gold watch Miriam surprised her with from years back.

They also looked back on Miriam's segment, "Istayl," which focused on fashion, shops, arts, and various lifestyle topics.

"Interesting 'yon kasi emerging host, celebrity ako, and natututo ako 'dun sa mga fine-feature namin," Miriam said.

During her guesting, Miriam also gave style tips to Gen Z and cooked cream dory in lemon butter sauce.

Aside from hosting "Unang Hirit," Miriam also went on to host "Extra Extra" and "Extra Challenge" on GMA-7, and also acted in various teleseryes, sitcoms, and movies.

"Unang Hirit" is celebrating its 25th anniversary on December 6.

The Kapuso morning show has planned exciting on-ground activities, massive giveaways, and public service initiatives that embody the heart of "Unang Hirit."

"Unang Hirit" will also unveil a newly arranged version of its iconic theme song as part of the festivities. This special rendition will be performed live by Jose Mari Chan alongside Zephanie and Mark Bautista. The trio will bring a fresh, modern take on the classic tune.

The Sexbomb Girls will also reunite for a special performance on National "Unang Hirit" Day.
