Xian Lim takes first solo flight: ‘Malayo pa pero malayo-layo na rin'

Xian Lim just flew solo!

In an Instagram Reel, the actor shared his first solo flight experience in the pilot's seat.

Xian told his captain and flight instructor, Leah, before she exited the plane that he was “Ready-ng ready.”

Xian’s family and Topflite Academy family were present on the runway.

He was clearly excited to fly, and recited pilot’s instructions and updates to air traffic control via radio.

When he finally took off, Xian flew over a scenic sea. While flying, Xian gave air traffic control constant updates on his situation.

Xian successfully landed the plane and was cheered on by his loved ones and colleagues. He was also drenched in water after the flight, which is a tradition that celebrates a pilot’s achievement.

Xian’s family and flight instructor then put on his epaulette, or the first stripes on his uniform.

“What an unforgettable experience!” Xian said in his caption.

He also expressed gratitude to his instructors for their time, patience, and the “life-changing opportunity.”

“More and more flights!” Xian added. “Malayo pa ang lalakbayin pero malayo layo na rin.”

Xian enrolled at the Topflite Academy in September. He did his first flight in the pilot’s seat in late October.

This 2024, he starred in the GMA Prime series "Love. Die. Repeat" and in the sexy thriller film "Playtime.”

Xian also directed and wrote the horror film “Kuman Thong,” which was produced by his girlfriend, Iris Lee.

Congrats, Xian!
