Rochelle Pangilinan cries while getting hair shaved for 'Lolong' Season 2

Rochelle Pangilinan wasn’t able to hold back her tears as she got a new haircut for her character, Karina Marabe, in “Lolong” Season 2.

The Sexbomb Girl and Kapuso actress unveiled in an Instagram post that “Karina 2.0” will have the sides of her hair shaved, then styled with braids and a bun.

In an Instagram video from GMA Network, it was revealed that Rochelle turned emotional and was in shock because the haircut was done on the spot during a photoshoot for the series.

“Si Karina dito ay nasa ibang level na, ibang dimension. So kailangan ko lang siyang sabayan,” Rochelle said.

She added that the haircut was something new for her as she wiped her tears.

“Ayaw tumigil ng luha ko, my gosh.”

In the first season of “Lolong,” Karina owned a tailoring shop filled with mysteries.

“Lolong: Bayani ng Bayan” takes place four years after the first season, with the titular character Lolong (Ruru Madrid), now a masked hero helping maintain the peace in their small town.

The show premieres on GMA Prime in January 2025.

More cast members include John Arcilla, Shaira Diaz, Paul Salas, Rochelle Pangilinan, Klea Pineda, Rocco Nacino, Martin Del Rosario, and many more.

During its run in 2022, “Lolong” became the most watched TV show in the Philippines.

Soon after its season finale, Ruru teased that Lolong would be making a comeback.
