'Hello, Love, Again' earns $2.4M in US cinemas on opening weekend –report
"Hello, Love, Again" is making history in the United States!
On its opening weekend, the "Hello, Love, Goodbye" sequel, top-billed by Alden Richards and Kathryn Bernardo, has already earned $2.4 million at 248 sites in the US, according to a report by Deadline.
"Hello, Love, Again" also broke its way to the current Top 10 films in the US, ranking 8th. It’s the first time a Filipino film has made it on the list.
"That's an awesome opening record for a Filipino movie beating the entire gross of the Dante Bosco romcom, The Debut ($1.7M) from 2000," Deadline wrote. "It's also the widest ever for a Filipino feature."
Meanwhile, in the Philippines, "Hello, Love, Again" has continued to dominate local cinemas. Three days since its theatrical debut, the film has earned P245 million.
"Hello, Love, Again," directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana, continues the story of Joy and Ethan five years after the events of the 2019 blockbuster "Hello, Love, Goodbye."
