Alden Richards opens up on his most painful goodbye
Alden Richards opened up on his most painful goodbye during his guesting on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," which aired on Wednesday.
The Sparkle star shared that apart from his late mom, Rosario, his most painful goodbye is to his childhood.
"Since kailangan ko pong magtrabaho sa murang edad, parang andami ko pong, I should say, hindi nagawa, basically finishing school," he said.
According to Alden, he doesn't regret not finishing his studies because he had to start working at a young age, but it is something he would like to fulfill one day.
"'Yun po 'yung isa sa mga sinakripisyo ko. Hindi ko po siya pinagsisisihan, but I think going back to it right now, I think that's one of the things na gusto kong magawa na hindi ko nagawa because I had to do things first for security ng pamilya."
He was only sixteen when his mom passed away due to chronic pneumonia. He pursued acting as a tribute to her because it was her dream for him to be an actor, specifically to play the role of Sergio in "Marimar."
During his guesting on the talk show, the Asia's Multimedia Star also remembered his late mom. He described her as "very sympathetic," adding that he learned this quality best from her.
Alden also answered Tito Boy's question if he was courting his "Hello, Love, Again" leading lady, Kathryn Bernardo.
"Hello, Love, Again" is now showing in Philippine cinemas. It is the sequel to their 2019 box office hit, "Hello, Love, Goodbye."
The film will also be released in North America, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific, and will close the Asian World Film Festival in Los Angeles this November.
