'Green Bones' starring Dennis Trillo, Ruru Madrid unveils poster
The poster for the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2024 entry "Green Bones" is now out.
On Instagram, GMA Pictures dropped the poster that featured its lead cast Dennis Trillo and Ruru Madrid.
Dennis and Ruru's faces were halved and then combined into one in different shades of green. In the middle of their faces is a chain forming into a tree.
"Paano ka lalaya mula sa nakaraan? Dennis Trillo and Ruru Madrid search for hope and redemption in this gripping drama," the caption read.
"Green Bones" tells the story of a man (Dennis) who is notorious for the grisly murder of his sister and her daughter. Already up for parole, a newly assigned prison guard (Ruru) takes a personal interest in making sure that he remains behind bars - no matter what it takes.
The film is based on an original story by JC Rubio, senior documentary manager of GMA Public Affairs.
The screenplay was written by National Artist Ricky Lee and MMFF 2023 Best Screenplay winner Anj Atienza. It will be directed by Zig Dulay, the filmmaker behind award-winning film "Firefly."
"Green Bones" is produced by GMA Pictures and Public Affairs, and will be distributed by Columbia Pictures. It will have its theatrical debut on December 25, Christmas Day.
Aside from Dennis and Ruru, Kylie Padilla and Sofia Pablo are also part of the cast.
