David Licauco is among the “Pulang Araw” stars who have been receiving positive feedback for their impressive performance in the series.
According to Lhar Santiago’s report on “24 Oras,” Friday, the viewers' kind words truly warmed the Pambansang Ginoo's heart.
“I'm still not the best. I'm still improving. I'm still learning, you know, learning from Alden, from Barbie to Sanya, also Dennis, and everyone, ‘di ba?" he said.
"I also give credit to Direk Dom. I would say he gave me the green light for me to be like this, ‘di ba? So, for me to be creative, he gives me a lot of input."
In return, David gave a teaser on what is about to happen in the Kapuso series.
“May mamamatay, so kailangan nilang abangan 'yun kung sino ang mamamatay. Also, pa-intense na nang pa-intense ang mga eksena, Tito Lhar,” he said.
David plays the role of Japanese immigrant Hiroshi Tanaka.
“Si Hiroshi, malaki 'yung switch niya from, you know, like being medyo nice guy, ngayon parang he is fighting for his life and also fighting for the love of his life,” David said.
Previously, David said that he has fallen in love with the craft of acting while working on the project.
"I would say na 'Pulang Araw' really changed my perspective with siguro my life din," he said. "'Yung acting feeling ko this is something na I can do for a long time kaya ginagalingan ko talaga."
David stars alongside Barbie Forteza, Sanya Lopez, and Alden Richards.
