Kim Atienza takes oath as new GMA anti-piracy ambassador
Kim Atienza has taken oath as GMA Network’s new anti-piracy ambassador.
According to Iya Villania’s report on “24 Oras,” Friday, he was chosen to be ambassador because of his lengthy experience as a host and public servant.
Aside from being trustworthy, Kuya Kim also has a large reach on television, where he can be watched every night on the news program.
Among those present at the oath-taking ceremony were Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) Director General Atty. Rowel S. Barba and Deputy Director General Atty. Ann Claire C. Cabochan.
“Ang illegal streaming sites po ay napaka-harmful, hindi lamang sa atin, kundi sa ating mga anak," said Kuya Kim. "Ito po’y makakasira sa ating kabataan at sa ating hanapbuhay dito sa telebisyon, sa pelikula, at sa musika."
Aside from Kuya Kim, other anti-piracy ambassadors of GMA include Sparkle stars Barbie Forteza, Ruru Madrid, and "Voltes V: Legacy" stars Miguel Tanfelix, Ysabel Ortega, Matt Lozano, Radson Flores, and Raphael Landicho.
